    Wallpaper removal and Hanging wallpaper services

    There are two practical ways to remove wallpaper :

    1) Steam it off using a wallpaper steamer which sends steam through a hose to a plastic diffuser then onto the wallpaper. The wallpaper and paste softens which allows you to scrape off the wallpaper with minimal effort.

    2) The second way is to use a chemical agent that is added to hot water. This soaks into the wallpaper and dissolves the paste / glue. This is the preferred method for plasterboard walls as it is less aggressive and does less damage to the surface under the wallpaper.

    Applied plastering offers both these services.

    Depending on the surface underneath the wallpaper, there maybe some necessary preparation work to carry out before painting or applying more wallpaper.
